Good morning... If a detective or other law enforcement officer wants to speak with you, it is likely that they are investigating whether a criminal offense was committed. We never advise our clients to speak with law enforcement, at least not without an attorney present. I would be happy to discuss your situation in detail with you if you would like to give us a call.... Read More

What is arraignment on bench warrant

Answered 5 years and a month ago by attorney J. Allen Fiorletta   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Traffic Violations
Sounds like you've paid the tickets. A warrant is an entirely different thing. If you have a warrant, you will need to appear before the Court and be arraigned on the warrant(s). Until you do so, the warrant(s) will be active and you may be arrested if you are stopped by law enforcement.

Depending on what the tickets are for, and whether or not they are civil infractions or misdemeanors, you can usually call the court and set up a court date where you can talk to the Prosecutor and hopefully work out payments. Generally, you would need to be able to pay a substantial amount of money on that date to work out any sort of deal.   Monica... Read More
