I do not know of any fee; however for an impaired (not an OWI) the Treasury fee is $500 for two years. Within 2 weeks of refusing, you could have asked for a hearing with Secretary of State to fight the refusal. If not, you can hire an attorney and go to your county's Circuit Court to ask for a restricted driver's license during the one year suspension time from refusing the pbt.... Read More

Absolutely!! There may be enough passage of time that it well be considered a first offense, which is mandatory minimum of one day in jail. If this is considered a second offense, then mandatory minimum is 30 days.

There could be a warrant out for you. If you have a paper driver license, you will not be able to get a new one because your driving record may be flagged. You should have been given paperwork telling you when to come back for your arraignment.

Get a hold of your lawyer. You need witnesses for your jury trial. You can probably win if your witnesses all say that you were not driving.

Certainly she should be represented, and I would suggest a private lawyer would be preferable. It is my strongest recommendation to be represented given the fact that all court and criminal actions commonly have very long-term detrimental effects on the future prospects of young people.

They have to prove that you were driving the vehicle while drunk. It sounds like they may have a problem with that at trial. Get a lawyer and fight.

Yes get a lawyer to help you. This is best since most people have no idea what they are doing in court. You can represent yourself. You can also take out your own appendix with a knife. Both are equally smart moves.
