I'm not sure I understand your question. Since you quit, you have been asked to sign a release that identifies your unused benefits as incentives and discusses continued performance? Is the CEO trying to get you to come back on a contract basis?

Texas Family Code 261.110 protects teachers from retaliation from their employers for reporting, in good faith, suspected child abuse or neglect.  Unfortunately there is no administrative agency charged with enforcing this law, so you will have to contact a private attorney.  I suggest you look at www.tbls.org for an attorney in your area who is board certified in labor and employment law.  Be sure to ask whether they represent employees in these kinds of cases before disclosing the facts of your situation.... You were an employee at will.  The law does not protect your job.  You do not belong to a union, so no union protects your job.  Unless they did it to get rid of you for a wrong reason, such as age, sex, race, religion, ethnic background, etc., they have the right to fire you because they don't like the color of your shirt or because you are an A&M fan instead of a Longhorn fan.   It is a tough world out there and the law says that the employers have the right to write the rules....
