From the information you provided, you have not been "convicted" so you would answer "no" to any question asking if you have a "conviction".

Is there anyway to take over a business if the owner has disappeared?

Answered 12 years and 4 months ago by Mark T. Peters, Sr. (Unclaimed Profile)   |   3 Answers   |  Legal Topics: Employment
Maybe, but probably not. You really need to find a local attorney that deals with business issues to see what can be done.

Should request for admission involving authentication be admitted?

Answered 12 years and 4 months ago by William L. Sanders (Unclaimed Profile)   |   4 Answers   |  Legal Topics: Employment
Generally, any request to admit that is true should be admitted, or a valid legal objection should be raised. If a matter is denied, and later proven at trial to be true, the party that denied the fact, in bad faith, likely will be required to pay the cost of the party that was unnecessarily put to the task of proven that fact. This answer is based on GA law. If you have to ask such a basic question, you have no business representing yourself. Get a lawyer. Litigation is not for laymen.... Read More

If my son lost control of the car due to snow because of a mandatory meeting, will the company pay for the car being pulled out of the ditch?

Answered 12 years and 4 months ago by William L. Sanders (Unclaimed Profile)   |   5 Answers   |  Legal Topics: Employment
I only answer GA questions. Since we have had no snow, I conclude this is not a GA question. In GA, I know of no law that requires the employer to pay this.

If my son lost control of the car due to snow because of a mandatory meeting, will the company pay for the car being pulled out of the ditch?

Answered 12 years and 4 months ago by Nancy J Wallace (Unclaimed Profile)   |   5 Answers   |  Legal Topics: Employment
The employer is not responsible for care of it's employee's personal automobiles, so no, the employer doesn't have to pay to get a car out of the ditch. ? IF THE EMPLOYER ordered the employee to work on a non-work day and was paying mileage or time for the transportation, there would be a WORKERS COMPENSATION CLAIM for physical injuries to your son.??? ? There is no Workers Compensation recovery for injuries to the car.... Read More

Is my son entitled to receive monies from the profit of the bar his fatherโ€™s owned?

Answered 12 years and 4 months ago by William L. Sanders (Unclaimed Profile)   |   5 Answers   |  Legal Topics: Employment
I do not know the answer to your question. 1 Are you sure there are any profits? 2 You say " he left him with this ownership" are you saying your son inherited the entire business? If so, he owns the business and should receive all the profits. If this is the case, I do not understand your question, or you do not understand the situation your son is in. Perhaps your son should go see an attorney.... Read More

What should I do if my lawyer threatens me?

Answered 12 years and 4 months ago by William L. Sanders (Unclaimed Profile)   |   2 Answers   |  Legal Topics: Employment
I do not know what this is: civ-110. Therefore, I am assuming you are not in GA. I only answer GA questions. If you are not pleased with your attorney, you should get another one. Your prior attorney likely is correct in asserting a lien for the work he did, but I do not know the law in your state, where ever that is. In some states, you can become liable for the attorney fees for the other side, if you proceed with a frivolous suit. In some states, your attorney can become personally liable if he/she proceeds in bad faith, Go ask another attorney in your state.... Read More
