If you were injured there are many lawyers, including me, who would be willing to help you. We are in Cherry Hill. If you were not injured, then you will have to fight the insurance company on your own, or hire a lawyer on an hourly basis to fight them. It is usually not worth spending the money for a lawyer. You can go to the police department and file a corrected police report if they have it wrong. You can also file your own traffic ticket against the other driver. You have 30 days to do this, so you need to do ASAP... Read More

It is a misdemeanor. If the bond was set at $5,000 10%, he would have to post $500 for his release. Remember, he has already left the scene of an accident and that was taken into account when bond was set. His punishment would depend on his past record.

Your question is unclear. If you had a lawyer review a potential case and he or she declined to represent you, you can seek new counsel. If the case is settled and done with, then the case is closed. Not sure what you mean.

Dear Anonymous, The fact that your car was not damaged would not have any effect on the time limitations to bring a claim for personal injury. Typically, the statute of limitations for torts is 2 years; however this can vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. I strongly urge you to contact an experienced attorney in your state and tell them the specifics of your claim. Best of luck to you. Chip Clark... Read More

I think it will be difficult for your daughter to fight the charges. As a general rule a driver is required to keep far enough behind the car in front to be able to stop no matter how short the stop is in front. The reason is that the car in front may be stopping short for the same reason (car in front of her stopping short)

You don't need to hire your own lawyer. Turn the summons over to your insurance company and they will hire a lawyer at no charge to you. They will also pay any judgment (although it doesn't seem that there will be one) Good Luck

If your son is interested in making a claim for pain and suffering, then you should definitely speak to an experienced personal injury attorney in your area. If you have uninsurance on your policy, you would be able to make a claim through your own policy just as if you were making a claim against the at fault party. Uninsurance covers hit and runs, uninsured vehicles, and stolen vehicles.

You are going to want to report the lawsuit to the company that insured you at the time of the accident. Assuming the accident had previously been reported, they may already know about the lawsuit, but you should notify them immediately just in case.
