In Louisiana an order of "temporary custody" may last until a court determines that it is no longer necessary. Because the matter was done by agreement and not by a court hearing, it may be easier to regain visitation and/or custody. You will need to show a material change in circumstances which affects the welfare of the child and that the change you are requesting is in the best interest of the child.
