Yes, you should reach out to a, preferably local, attorney who handles home insurance disputes. Many will do this on a contingency basis, and your insurance contract likely also makes the recovery of your attorneys fees possible, so you may be able to be made whole. Why was there a delay in submission and why did the health care provider not submit the bills and claim?

Not much can be done about a short delay on a first party claim from a legal angle. Unless you want to spend several thousand dollars out of pocket to make a point. As a general rule, insurance carriers don't "provide" a rental - but rather reinburse your expenses for one.  If you were hurt in the accident you REALLY need to retain a lawyer as you may experience much of the same jerking around and good lawyer can help you work through that and maximize your claim. ... Thats what happens when you try to save money and hire a on-lawyer on issues involving legal matters. You may well have signed a release and waived any supplemental or later claims. You will now need to hire a lawyer, possibly at an hourly rate, to address this.

You may need to hire a lawyer to intervene or possibly sue one or the other for damages. This is likely due the GAP insurance having issue with missed payments or a claim of remaining value that exceeds the amoritization schedule.

You will need to hire a lawyer to handle this. If the accident was someone elses fault, yand you were injured, ou need an injury lawyer. They will often take cases on a contingent fee. Otherwise, you will need to pay for a lwyer out of pocket to intervene and addres this issue.

Whether your coverage will apply, and in which state, and when, depends on the language of the policy, which I can't read. So you will either need to trust your insurance company about what the policy says, or get a copy and read it yourself.   Most policies are complicated.  They are also different from each other (vastly).  So we can't tell you some general rule.  It depends on what your policy says. I will tell you that I have handled cases where there was a huge fight about whether coverage still applied because of a move from one state, to another, with a transfer of insurance.  So I would not mess around with this.   If you want to be safe, your best bet is to buy the coverage for the new state as soon as you possibly can.  Until then, you are in the danger zone and possibly may not have coverage if/when you need it. Best of luck to you. Tina Willis Law - Personal Injury, Car & Truck Accident & Medical Malpractice Lawyer 390 N. How do I fight an insurance company?

Answered 8 years and 3 months ago by attorney Mark Tischhauser, Esq.   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Insurance
This is a problem with third party property damage cases, especially for low end cars. They aren't worth spending money on to litigate over, the inurance carrier knows this and lowballs and lawyers won't take the cases on a contingent fee, again, not financially viable. This is why its critical ot have collision coverage on your car. Your remedy is to file a lawsuit against the at fault driver for damages - though you may be throwing good money after bad doing so, unless the insurer capitulates. ... Read More

Probably a consumer lawyer. This will revolve around whether there were some form of notice provided to you, regardless of whether you read them or not, and the timing of the returned funds. By example if they returned the funds in November  2016, you cashed the check and never bothered to ask why or for what, you will have a more difficult case than, say, they mailed the check in April 2017, after letting coverage lapse with no notice otherwise. You may need to hire a lawyer at an hourly rate to address this at the initial stages to see what occurred and possibly a contingent fee would be available if there is a clear case of wrong doing by the bank. ... Sadly - you "were told" alot of things that were simply wrong. You need to hire a lawyer ASAP to see what can be done and a claim made - but don't hold your breath, especially with no objective documentation and "holistic" self care rather than medical care. Absent separate evidence of an infestation you may find the hotel treating this as a nusinace value/shakedown case. ... Read More
