It depends upon your contract with him.

As the saying goes, no good deed goes unpunished. Given that you have your text messages, it seems you can certainly prove your friend requested you withdraw the money. Proving your friend received it may be more difficult, but a good lawyer should be able to help build a good defense for you. You may possibly have a counterclaim against her for all the monies you spent, although that will be more difficult, since those expenditures will likely be viewed as gifts.  ... Read More

I am not sure what you want to happen.  You can sue the person who crashed the car for damages but you owe the loan as to the bank.

It depends on what the contract says.  If there is a mortgage contingency, and the appraisal is low, the mortgage will be denied, and he can walk away.  If all cash, probably not.

None.  While you can have a lawyer in small claims court, most do not.  For $1,800 the legal fees would exceed any settlement you can make.  Just bring pictures of the damage to court and your contracts with the guy.

Pet shop sold sick dog

YES. Under the New York Pet Lemon Law, you can return or exchange the puppy for an equivalent replacement puppy, for a full refund AND reasonable veterinary fees, or you can keep the puppy AND get reimbursement for reasonable vet fees not to exceed the price of the puppy. But you must act FAST- you have 14 days from the time of purchase to get a vet to certify the puppy was not fit for purchase (and it sounds like you definitely can), and use a form that has the language thats found in NY Gen Bus Law sections 753 and 754. Once you do that, the pet store has 10 days to give you a refund, or you're free to take the pet store to court. You can take the pet store straight to court, too.... Read More

"Fine" is really a term of criminal law, like a ticket.  The right to make a claim against you or not will be based on the terms of the contract, which I have not seen, so no one could know what you might need to pay.
