I am not sure what the action would be.  If you did not pay the lease, and it was found to be a fraud, there is really no further claim.  You are not going to prove the dealer did it intentionally to you.

Is the car dealership responsible for paying off the loan?

Answered 9 years and a month ago by attorney Sharon M. Siegel   |   1 Answer
I am not sure of the facts from your post, but if there is no lien on the title, you car cannot be repoed.  However, you signed the Note and you are responsible.  The bank can still collect for that money.  I am not sure who paid three months -- you or the cosigner -- but if the loan is current you are OK.  It is just like an unsecured loan.... I do not do these kind of cases on contingency and I think few lawyers would do so for this small amount of money.  However, initiating a suit may be not as expensive as you think.  The issue is that the promises of savings might not be binding.  Someone would have to look at the contract.... need advise on obtaining the title for a car I purchased

Answered 9 years and 5 months ago by attorney Sharon M. Siegel   |   1 Answer
Is it a new car, or used car?  Who shut them down?  Someone is holding the old title.  With the old title, signed, you can do it yourself.  You might be out the few hundred bucks you paid them, but for that there might be nothing you can do.
