Was your company a corporation? I think you need to talk to your corporate lawyer or your tax advisor. If I am an employee of a company, not an officer or director, the company's debts, including taxes, are not mine. But if I am running a company like it is my own toy, and am using company assets to buy personal stuff, then the personal stuff is really owned by the company, and therefore is an asset of the company, and can be attached to pay debts.... Quite often when the DMV suspends a person's driver's license for a medical reason they require a medical review within a certain period of time. Usually the DMV will send you a letter explaining your options. I suggest that you check with the DMV regarding a conditional driver's license (which would let you drive to work) as well as the specific requirements that you need to meet to have your license reinstated. I would need additional information to provide a competent response. You can sue an employer for discrimination based on race, age, national origin, etc. If this is the basis of your lawsuit, then you can sue.

Since you consulted him to get his advice, with the prospect of retaining him, in my opinion he was obligated to protect your confidences. File a complaint with the local grievance committee. Be forewarned, however, he will come up with all sorts of excuses and obfuscations to avoid censure: you weren't his client, there were no grounds for confidentiality, he didn't say anything damaging, opposing counsel would have found out everything anyway, you would have been obligated to disclose this information, etc. Then you have to prove that what you say is actually what happened...
