I am not sure about your question. It would take reviewing your agreement with LGE. Something that would cost you a legal fee likely in excess of the bill. Your choice to pay a lawyer a fee.

can I file bankruptcy on a private student loan?

Answered 11 years and 9 months ago by Joseph Francisco Botelho (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Bankruptcy
You cannot file chapter 7 bankruptcy on student loans and discharge them, unless very specific circumstances pertain to your case. From what you of listed here you do not have any of the circumstances that allow you to discharge private student loans. Think of student loans as the same as you would think of IRS taxes, they are funded by the government or pertain to the government and there is very limited means of escaping government debt. There are different programs out there, but as you stated it seems that you do not fit into any of them. I would do more research because there are new options every day, but if you've done this and you do not fit into any of them, bankruptcy I do not see helping this problem.   I have responded to your inquiry according to the laws of Massachusetts, where my firm is located. Laws can vary significantly from state to state and cases tend to be rather fact-specific, so you are best served by consulting with a knowledgeable attorney in weighing your options.   Email messages/Online Correspondence are akin to conversations and do not reflect the level of analysis applied to formal legal opinions. Email/Online responses do not form an attorney-client relationship.      Joseph F. Eviction notice

If you are the tenant ant you get a notice, you must appear if you plan to contest the notice. If you are planning on vacating, you may not appear but you will be evicted. Which would look bad on your record.

If your agreement was in writing, you may have a shot. Otherwise, no case. Try a different lawyer, but I would not pay a lot for advice.

Chapter 7

Answered 11 years and 10 months ago by attorney Bankruptcy Attorney Mark J Markus   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Bankruptcy
There are two main ways you can lose your home in a Chapter 7 case: 1.  You fail to make the required payments to the mortgage lender(s) or adhere to the terms of your Note and Deed of Trust.  (This, by the way, is the same regardless of whether or not you file bankruptcy) 2.  There is more equity in the property than you have exemptions under applicable law available to cover. If you are current with your mortgage payments, as you indicate you are, then #1 shouldn't be an issue. Without knowing the value of your property and amounts owed against it, as well as which state's exemption laws apply in your case, I can't tell you whether or not the Trustee would be interested in or able to sell your home in a Chapter 7 case. If you are unsure, you should have a consultation with a bankruptcy attorney in your area. Mark Markus has been practicing exclusively bankruptcy law in California since 1991.  He is a Certified Specialist in Bankruptcy Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization,  AV-Rated by martindale.com, and A+ rated by the Better Business Bureau.         ... Bullied at work

Answered 11 years and 10 months ago by Robert A. Donald III (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Labor and Employment
There is no law against "bullying" (whatever that is). Unless it is against a specific civil right. i.e., race, religion, sex etc. So you are at the mercy of the company. Some managers may find it distracting and get mad at the person doing the bullying. Some managers find it a nuisance for people that complain. Consider leaving the job prior to being fired....
