May I return to the U.S. after having been removed?

Answered 6 years and 2 months ago by attorney Alan Lee, Esq.   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Immigration
Assuming that there are no other bars to your admission than removal from the US, you can apply for a nonimmigrant or immigrant visa if you are eligible for such to return to the US. If there are other bars such as membership in barred associations, fraud or crime, you should consult with an immigration attorney to go over your situation and your options. Many immigration attorneys take telephonic consultations. If I'm taking methadone at a clinic will I have a problem with getting my sons back in my custody

Answered 6 years and 2 months ago by Aaron Gabriel Walsh (Unclaimed Profile)   |   2 Answers   |  Legal Topics: Child Custody
In my experience, judges will say methadone treatment is better than illegal using, but it's still an active opioid addiction. I am not an addiction specialist, if you can get to treating your disease with an opioid agonist, that's probably ok, but methadone is still an opiate. Good luck. Stay on your sobriety path and the custody will come back. ... Read More
