You would need to see about having the admission of responsibility withdrawn and have the matter set for either an informal hearing (you, without a lawyer) or a formal hering (you, with a lawyer). It is not possible to tell, by the information you provided, why your driver's license was suspended.  You should re-read the 20-day Notice letter that you received from the DMV - Florida Dept. of Motor Vehicles and Highway Safety (i.e., the letter notifying you of the suspension) to see if it states the reason. Otherwise, you should be able to go to your local DMV Office in person.  You may have to make an appointment.  That office should be able to explain why your driver's license has been suspended and how to get it reinstated. If you're referring to the cameras on the street lights, they do not record. They are live feed only. If you have been cited for reckless driving you need to consult an attorney. You don't say what the ticket was for but most traffic tickets would require that the car was being driven, r case of things like DUI, that you had 'actual physical control' of the car.  If the car was inoperable, then it would be unlikley one could be convicted of any offense requiring 'driving' or 'actual physical control'. ... I'm sure you don't want to hear this but you should contact a traffic lawyer in your jurisdiction as soon as possible. Depending on the jurisdiction that you live in, the prosecutor's office may or may not negotiate with dropping points or reducing the ticket, but if they negotiate then your attorney will know best how to negotiate with the prosecutor on your behalf. However, if you live in a jurisdiction like NYC, the traffic violations bureau does NOT negotiate at all. In that case, you would want to take the ticket to trial, and certainly you would want to have the best representation when it comes to conducting a traffic court trial, cross examining the Police Officer, and presenting evidence on your behalf.    I hope this information is helpful. ... If the 'crime' occured int he officers county but the 'arrest' or 'stop' occured in anotehr county, it is probably okay if the officer was in 'hot pursuit'  of the perpetrator into the other county. It would be appropriate to file something with the court that issued the bench warrant asking that the bench warrant be quashed, and attach a receipt showing payment.  If it is no0t quashed, a quick court appearance likely will resolve the matter. Most courts have a day and time for people to appear on bench warrants to get the case reset on the court docket.  Also, be aware that an 'unpaid ticket' will suspend your drivers license until the matter is resolved so getting the case in court resolved (i.e. bench warrant removed) is important so the DMV record ends up being accurate and you don't get arrested on the warrant or for driving while suspended. ... An 8 point violation can have a significant impact on your insurance, and there will likely be a high fine included with it. You don't mention where you got the ticket, but if you got it outside of NYC then you may be able to have your attorney negotiate with the prosecutor to reduce your violation to a lesser violation which will include less points, fine, etc. If it was in NYC please be aware that NYC Traffic Violations Bureau does not negotiate pleas. Instead, you can have your lawyer fight the ticket for you there at your traffic court trial. As far as how this will impact your parent's insurance, you will have to speak with the insurance company to look at your policy. With that being said it seems like you were covered by the policy at the time of the violation, and either way you were driving the vehicle so I suspect that it will have some impact on the insurance premium.    I hope this information is helpful. ...
