Can a cop have his children ask me questions during a pullover?

Answered 10 years and a month ago by attorney Jay A. Rigdon   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Criminal Defense

Or do you mean that the child just happened to be there during your conversation? Did he find the chair? If you weren't involved with a theft, there is no possibility of punishment. My questions highlight why you should talk to an attorney in your community and give the lawyer all the facts to get your question answered.... Read More

You may report the actions to the prosecutor, who may prosecute him for battery, or an attorney for a civil suit against the officer and the department. Now, if you are the one that vomited, it might be a hard sell to convince anyone that you were harmed, but if it was from someone else, than you might have a case.... Read More

Is it legal for me to possess a gun that's in her name at my house?

Answered 10 years and 2 months ago by attorney Jay A. Rigdon   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Criminal Defense
If the gun is not legal for you to possess (and being at your house without her would be in your possession), it being in "her name" does not change that illegality.

You talk about how "We" don't know anything, but I have no idea if that "we" includes your father. Maybe the best thing to do is to have your dad sit down with an attorney and talk to the lawyer.... You may be mixing up a couple of things here. If you have a felony theft CONVICTION, that will be on your record forever until it is expunged (if that is possible in the other state).
