For personal injury + wrongful termination + harassment + defamation, how much would it cost or would they take a percentage?

Most lawyers will not take defamation cases on a contingent fee unless they are high profile clear cut cases. You will need to hire a lawyer to reviewe your issues and see what if any remedies exist.

Not sure what the question is nor why an online class would invoke HIPAA. I question whether this is a troll post as you mispelled HIPAA and the basis of your post makes little sense. If you are an actual physician then you know you need to retain a healthcare lawyer to address this issue or addressit with whomever youclaim told you to take the class in the ER or to mute it. ... Not hearing any defamation or even employment issues. Its unlikely you have a viable discrimination claim, assuming one existed when you are let go 4 years later, in the middle of a pandemic. As to defamation, if your association with the person is a fact, there is not much that can be done about that. That aside, if there are media dramatizations or such that cast you in a false light, such as being a participant etc, there might be a legal action for such. However, such claims are typically very expensive to pursue and are high risk claims. ... Read Answer

Having handed dozens dozens of defamation cases over the past 30 years, this is a non-starter, unless you have the funds to pursue the individuals. In 99% of such cases the defendants are judgment proof and absent being collectabe its tilting at windmills. Other than that you can report the false claims to DCF or local law enforcement to handle and then the ball is in thier court. Just don't expect much interest in perjury prosecution unless you have lawfully recorded confessions or such, as they rarely prosecute such cases for a variety of reasons. ... Read Answer

Not seeing a defamation case here. Not every lie is defamatory. You need to retain an "associations" lawyer to address this issue.

Defamation cases are not contingent fee cases, so any lawyer that you are willing to pay a retainer to is a start.

Separate from any criminal issue, you may need to take legal against the individuals instigating these attacks. This may take a variety of forms, such defamation or intential infliction of emotional distress issues, etc. or injunctive relief for inciting the violence, etc. Theese are not inexpensinve cases to pursue but often they must be purused to get the internet trolls to understand they are not immune from responsibility for thier actions.... Sure - if the statements made were in fact defamatory and not privileged in some fashion. Since you don't know what was said, or what the accusations were, you will likely spend a good deal of money on legal fees focusing on that issue. If the statements were no defamatory, there may be other "causes of action" to consider once you are able to secure some details about the accusations.  ... Read Answer

This is a borderline "defamation" case depebding on what was actually stated. This may also be more of a "doxxing" case which is where truthful statements are made about someone but they are things most people would not come to learn otherwise and exposed ina manner to humilate or embarass someone for some improper purpose. We handle such cases, BUT, they are most typically handled with a retainer and hourly rate basis., and not on a contingent fee, which is where the the onlu gets paid when and if they recover money. Sometimes a "cease and sesist" letter from a lawyer is useful in this type of case to avoid the expense of litigation.... Read Answer

Are there any Pro Bono defamation lawyers available in Polk county

Answered 6 years and a month ago by Mark Theodore Tischhauser (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Libel, Slander And Defamation

First and foremost, stay awat from the children and "widow" at issue. That eliminate any further claims of this or that in regard to that family. If you continue to "help" them you leave the door open for futher accusations. Second, there are no pro bono lawyers willing to handle defamation cases based on family squabbles. They are essentially too volatile and often become litigation black holes. If you have a defamation case you will have to find the means to retain a lawyer to properly respond to such allegations. ... Read Answer
