If you are thinking about working for another company, that company would have to sponsor you for another H-1B. That can be done at any time if it is a concurrent H-1B petition. U.S.C.I.S. will look at the company to see whether it believes that it would be an appropriate organization. The bigger the organization, the better. A company with no history, a small number of employees, and little revenue or capitalization would find it difficult to convince U.S.C.I.S. of its being an appropriate vehicle for an H-1B. You can probably sue in either.  You should sue in the jurisdiction most favorable to you, assuming that your ex is subject to jurisdiction there.  Since you live in Oklahoma, that would be the jurisdiction to choose (why would you want to have to travel to SC for this case?) and since the dispute arises out of a contract which was executed and at least partly performed in Oklahoma, Oklahoma can probably exercise jurisdiction over your ex in connection with this claim, even if he no longer has any further contacts with Oklahoma.... Sorry to hear what you are going through. If the current custodial parent and the grand parent is behaving such a way you will need to call the cops right away as your life is in danger when they put their hands on you. You should have called the cops and file a police report. If you did that tha you can use it to petition the court for child custody modification. As to your initial question, temporary orders are kind of like long term or at least until the judge can make a final decision on the case. That can be anywhere from 2 months to 2 years. I assume from this scenario that you were supposed to be the buyer, and that after you accepted the seller's offer, the seller breached your contract by selling the product to someone else.  You can sue the seller for the lesser of (a) the difference between you agreed to pay and the value of the goods (evidence of which is the price the seller received from the other buyer) or (b) you can buy replacement goods on the open market and sue the seller for the difference between what you paid and what you had contracted to pay the seller....
