Do you have a case if you got injured from a car accident?

Answered 12 years ago by Andrew Tyler Velonis (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Personal Injury
Assuming that the injury meets "threshold" I should think that yes, the at-fault driver would be responsible, though I have not had occasion to research this specific scenario.

Is an ER nurse allowed to put in an IV line and take blood from me without it even being ordered by the doctor first?

Answered 12 years ago by Andrew Tyler Velonis (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Personal Injury
Putting an IV line in is pretty standard, so that part sounds OK. Sometimes they are hard to hit no matter how skilled or careful the nurse is. As for drawing the blood samples, that may have not been correct protocol, but you were not harmed as a result.

I am sorry to hear about your situation. Good question regarding the law. The best type of attorney to answer this type of question is an international law attorney (we are a NY medical malpractice firm). Hope this helps, Dr. Guy Regev.

I am sorry to hear about this. Anytime there is negligence that led to an injury there may be a potential malpractice case. Our firm concentrates on medical malpractice cases. I would recommend consulting with a general attorney. Keep in mind it may be difficult to link the cab to the herpes because herpes does typically take several days to appear after exposure. buy skin product and i have a alergic reaction

Answered 12 years ago by attorney Joseph Miklos   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Personal Injury
I am sorry to hear about this. It appears we never know which medications or chemicals end up causing harm to our bodies. This type of case is more fitting for a "product liability" attorney to evaluate. They deal with injury done by products which seems to fit your case. I would recommend contacting one of those. I suppose we have to take Dr. Oz's advice with a grain of salt. I hope your face heals quickly. Thank you for contacting us. Dr. Guy Regev.... Read Answer

How long do i have to sue

Answered 12 years ago by attorney Joseph Miklos   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Personal Injury
There are certainly statutes of limitations in NY for various types of cases. For personal injury they are typically 3 years although various factors may affect them and therefore you must work with an attorney to go over the details of the case before determining this. Our particular firm focuses more on medical malpractice - I would recommend contacting a general personal injury firm to go over the details of this case but please contact us back if you ever have a case related to construction site accident or medical malpractice. Thank you, Dr. Guy Regev.... Read Answer

Licensing laws for the cosmetic and hair industry may vary depending on location and type of business. Certainly if there is sufficient evidence that the hair stylist led to your alopecia and that the alopecia is signficant and affecting your life, you may have a lawsuit. We happen to deal more with medical malpractice in this office but I would suggest contacting several other general practitioner / general personal injury attorneys and see what they think. DO I HAVE A CASE

Answered 12 years ago by Michael Varble (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Personal Injury
It's hard to say why the doctors didn't do the MRI first. An experienced medical malpractice attorney would need to review your medical chart to find out if you have a case. Find a local attorney, acquire a copy of your medical chart and schedule an appointment as soon as possible.

Can we sue a dentist for improper dental implants?

Answered 12 years ago by Andrew Tyler Velonis (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Personal Injury
We get a lot of malpractice questions on this site. It appears that you have done significant research, and from what you describe, you do have something to go on. Contact a malpractice lawyer in your area, sooner rather than later. No matter how clear-cut the liability, the insurance companies fight all of these. They will pay no attention to you without a lawyer, and with one, they will force the matter into litigation, refuse offers to negotiate and stonewall all the way. This will take years, and cost thousands of dollars. Even so, it may be worth pursuing.... Read Answer

What should I do after I was burned by turkey liquid because the turkey dropped back into the pan?

Answered 12 years ago by Andrew Tyler Velonis (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Personal Injury
You would have to prove that the buffet provider was negligent, that they were careless in the way that they handled the turkey resulting in their dropping it, or that they knew or should have known that there was an excessive amount of liquid which would make it likely to splash on a patron. Also, how burned were you? Did you have to go to the emergency room? Did you require skin graft surgery? Are there scars? As for what to do, contact a personal injury lawyer in your area. Consultations are free, and if you have grounds for a claim, the lawyer can do the follow-up.... Read Answer

Is my son's high school required to pay unpaid medical bills from a school football injury?

Answered 12 years and a month ago by Michael Varble (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Personal Injury
You probably signed a waiver when he was enrolled in football and e also assumed the risk of injury when he decided to participate in football. It's doubtful a court would require a school to pay the $ 1,100.

Write to the restaurant owner and see what they will do for you. While you can probably file a claim through an attorney, your injuries may not be significant enough to justify using an attorney.
