Can I sue the funeral home for putting on my husbands death certificate that we were divorced at his death, and we are still married?

The problem is not the funeral home but the insurance company. The death certificate is not the only document that the insurance company looks at to determine if your were married or not. I would contact the funeral home and ask them to write a letter stating that the death certificate was incorrect when it stated that you were divorced. Technically, they are suppose to seize the registration and/or license plate if it is knowingly displayed upon a vehicle other than the one for which it was issued. If they do this, then you could not drive the vehicle.
