You might want to discuss elder exploitation with a local elder lawyer.  Your description indicates no reason why you should not be named on a HIPAA Medical Information Release, which would allow you to receive medical information about your father, or Medical Power of Attorney, which would allow you to speak for him when he cannot communicate, or Durable Power of Attorney, which in these days of online banking does not require physical presence to transfer funds.  But maybe your dad has his reasons, reasonable or not.  You can use the Find a Lawyer function on the website of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (www.naela.org)... Not sure what a "paedocket" is but if it is a order of protection docket, you will not be arrested unless the hearing was to determine if you had violation the order of protection; in which case, if you missed the court date then you will probably be arrested.

Does a insurance company have to pay

Answered 6 years and 8 months ago by Patrick Johnson (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Automobile Accidents
The fact that the insurance company will not pay at this time, doesn't mean that you don't have a claim against the driver and owner. The insurance company only has to pay if the all of the conditions of coverage are met. If the driver, not the owner/insured, is not listed as an insured on the policy and does not have a drivers license, most insurance companies will not provide coverage. You can still sue the driver and the owner for damages. The insurance company might cave in and pay if you sue the owner/insured.... Read More

Can I travel to Hawaii when my I539 is being processed?

Answered 6 years and 8 months ago by attorney Alan Lee, Esq.   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Immigration
Persons who are applying for change of nonimmigrant status are precluded from leaving the US during the time of application. Such a move would cancel the change of status request. In your case, you are contemplating a trip to Hawaii, a part of the US. You should be okay, but should bring along proof of your F-1 status and the I-539 receipt just as insurance.
