Answered 6 years and 8 months ago by Patrick Johnson (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer
Many private schools require the students to be involved in some sort of after school activity. If that is their policy, try to obtain an exemption. If they say no, then your child can either start the activity or your child can attend another school. The school has the right to set the requirements to be allowed to attend the school.... Can I be sure for a debt that I'm pretty sure the statute of limitations has run out?

Answered 6 years and 8 months ago by Patrick Johnson (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer
Before they can garnish your wages, it has to sue you and get a judgment. Not sure why you owed them the money but the stature of limitations on a breach of contract is 10 years.

One of the conditions of coverage for auto warranty contracts is that you changed the oil at the recommended oil change mileage. This generally requires that you prove that you change the oil at that mileage. What you are telling me is that on some ocassions you changed the oil yourself but have not proof of that. There might be some things that would verify that you changed the oil: (1) sales receipts from the store where you purchased the new oil and oil filter and (2) a read out of your auto computer where the "reset oil" light  was reset. I don't know that this is any help but call me if you want to discuss this.... Read More

I would contact the office who sent you the letter about the subpoena and let them know that do not want to appear and do not want to prosecute. If push come to shove and you to do not show up, they could issue a warrant for your arrest.

What type of lawyer do I need when dealing with mold in an apartment and trying to move out of my lease

Answered 6 years and 9 months ago by Patrick Johnson (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer
The presence of mold, depending on the type, amount, location, etc., may render the apartment uninhabitable. It also will depend on if you created the mold.  You can send a letter (certified mail, return receipt requested) to the landlord advising them of the presence of the mold and give them a time period to remove it and if they do not remove it, then you are going to move out. If they do not remove it, then move out sending the landlord a letter explaining why. You can read about landlord and tenant law in Tennessee through Google.... Read More

Cannot contact attorney

Answered 6 years and 9 months ago by Patrick Johnson (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer
The initial attorney who is now sick has an obligation to refund the retainer and give you back your documentation. If he has support staff, you might reach out to them to address these issues. If he does not have any support staff and nobody to help him, you might try to reach out to his wife (if he has one) and address these issues with her. If he has no support staff and no family, you might try contacting the local county bar association to ask it to help you with these issues. Good luck.... Read More
