This would include but not be limited to tax returns showing employment income, a letter from their employer vouching for that income, six months of pay stubs from their current job, as well as property ownership like an appraisal, showing the net equity after the mortgage is deducted. All these financial documents would prove that they have the motivation to return to their country of citizenship.     ... Read More

Hi Lilly. I'm very sorry that you had to go through this very disturbing predicament. Each state has their own statute of limitations on when you can pursue a sexual molestation claim against a person who assaulted you. Most states have suspension periods of time during the period when you are a child, and then the clock starts to run when you turn 18. You could pursue a claim against the person who molested you and any other person who could have prevented this. The reason that this is a very important point is because if the assault happened in the house of another person, then you could pursue the homeowners insurance policy based on a theory of negligence. The best way to pursue these claims is to have a private phone consultation with an attorney to explore all the facts involved in your case.   ... Read More

Well first of all, you should seek medical attention to prove and substantiate your injuries and pain and suffering. You would have a claim against the arcade owner and/or manager due to their neglect in not taking common sense measures to assure that the game was safe for customers to play. Take plenty of pictures of your injury, as well as obtain any third-party witness statements of family and or non-family members. Your husband was smart to take pictures of the arcades subsequent remedial measures which prove they were at fault. Additionally, you should retain counsel here in the state of Florida on contingency fee, which means you don't pay anything unless you win your case. ... Read More

Do I have the right to computers that were gifted to me?

Answered 4 years and 5 months ago by attorney Bruce Robins   |   1 Answer
If your mother gave the computers to you unconditionally, she has no right to keep them, but it appears that you're going to have to sue her and convince the judge or jury that they were gifts in order to get them back.

A US citizen can sponsor their fiancée for a K visa. One of the requirements is that both of you have to physically have met within the last two years. The other possible way is for you to go to Nigeria, and get married, and then you can sponsor him for a spousal visa. There are no exceptions to the in person meeting requirement for the K visa.
