You must file a police report to make a claim with the bank.  His credit will not be impacted, but if he is found to be responsible, there is something called Checksystems, which is like a credit report for bank accounts and he might not get another bank account at another bank.

Yes you can take them to court.

You can't have your cake and eat it too. How convenient that you made a poor choice and just want no responsibility for it, no repercussions to the person YOU are accusing of criminal fraud and that the bank should just eat all that money while your friend enjoys the benefit of the free stuff he purchased. Sounds pretty ridiculous when put that way right? If its criminal fraud you have your freind prosecuted criminally so he goes to prison like all criminal should and you will have a better chance of arguing with the bank about some of the charges. Short of that, you will have to accept the fact YOU placed trust in someone not deserving of it and your price to pay is YOU just bought all those charges and can spend your money and time suing the friend for reimbursement, if thats even viable financially. ... Half job done, Worth seeking reimbursement?

From a legal perspective, the dentist is liable to put it back. However, at this point do you really trust him to do it correctly? Probably not! Even though it might cost you more money, I would find somebody else to work on it in a more convenient location. Not worth the trouble.

What type of lawyer do I need?

Answered 10 years ago by Mr. Guy Piers Coburn (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer
I suggest that you contact your credit card company, explain the situation, and ask them to do a "charge back."  This means that the credit card comany gives you your money back even if you can't get help from the vendor.  (This is one reason why you should ALWAYS use a credit card and not a debit card when buying on line or mail order.)... Help remove CA State Lien from Credit

Answered 10 years ago by Ronda Renee Dixon (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer
Call the state of California Franchise Tax board (FTB) and ask them to update the public record and show that the lien was paid.  Ask FTB to give you a letter as proof. Then dispute the entry with the credit bureaus and send letter as proof.  It takes persistence to clear credit.  So youmay have to dispute the claim more than once.  It can take 60 to 90 days.... Is it legal for hotel personell to go in your room?

Answered 10 years ago by Patrick Johnson (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer
Generally, if you are using your hotel room in an ordinary way, then you have a limited right of privacy in the room. However, if the hotel believes that you are engaging in illegal acts or violating hotel rules, then hotel management has the right to enter and search your room without your permission. They will usually ask first but this not required if you refuse. If you told them that you had no pet but were in facts keeping a pet, then they can come into the room to verify if you had pets or not.... Read More
