Can a lawyer settle a case and take my money without me knowing?

Answered 5 years and 7 months ago by attorney Mark Tischhauser, Esq.   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Medical Malpractice
Not sure that either case, the civil battery nor a legal malpractice claim is viable. No real damages, and I can't imagine any coherent lawyer taking such a case with the expectation of any real value on its merits. That stated, your most likely remedy is a claim again sthe lawyer you claim was retained to handle the case, whether it turns out she settled or not, though settlment of such a claim is a far fetched. ... Can I Sue for negligence of a hospital?

Answered 6 years and a month ago by attorney Mark Tischhauser, Esq.   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Medical Malpractice
So your freind STOLE your blood sample from the hospital and you want to blame ....the hospital? Sorry - this sounds like a bad remake of a junkie scam from the movie Salton Sea. There is a LOT more to this than provided - but unless you are willing to spend money out of pocket to hire a lawyer to intervene, this starts with a complaint to the hospital and exposing your "freind" for the theft and going from there. ...
