"I'm also a single mom trying to start my own company with not a lot of extra money to just throw away"....candidly - then you have no business in business. Running any type of of business is not a hobby nor a causal enterprise and if can't afford the risks due to your child - then you can't take the risks only expecting the positive results.  If your drop shipper is Chinese or offshore you are likely stuck and hoping they comply. In the future - part of running any business is the ability to plan for and account for losses or bad things that happen. Its a zero sum game where every dollar made by one is a dollar taken from another. ... Read More

No way to tell what you need to do in an internet blurb on such a screwy issue. Until you know otherwise you need to pay the bank what you owe and get a lawyer retained ASAP to start sorting this out.

Remedies for bad auto loan

Answered 8 years and 9 months ago by attorney Mark Tischhauser, Esq.   |   1 Answer
The things you described are maintenance issues and not "bad loan" issues. If you have issues with what you signed or the terms being imposed, at this point, you will have to hire a lawyer at an hourly rate/retainer and plan on paying for several hours of legal work sorting out your issues at 300-400 dollars per hour. ... Civil Trial or Consumer Trial lawyer.

You can report this to authorities, and see if there are other victims of a "romance confidence man". With the amounts at issue and the circumstaces, "gettin played by a playah" while you are cheating on husband  is not the same thing as getting defrauded, however so dont get your hopes up of ciminal prosecution. Its obvious there is much more to this tryst than exposed here and I would suggest that for $800.00 its simply not worth the expense and effort of a civil suit. ... Read More

Absent a gun or torture, there was no "forcing" you to do anything. You can try to claim the contract is void because you are incompetnent but be wary of walking youself into a guardianship/conservatorship and a legal decalration you are mentally incompetent as this can negatively affect you in the future also, fixing one problem to create a dozen others. You will need to consider hiring a lawyer to address this and that may also entail a formal psychiatric exam to establish your mental capacity to contract with the lawyer. ... Read More

Possibly - this is a huge financial issue in many lower value cases such as small claims types (yours is bordeline). SOMEONE will be taking the financial risk and making the time and money investment to address the issue regardless, whether its you or the lawyer. This is why many smaller value cases simply don't have en effective legal remedy due to the finances. At the same time, there are often fee recovery statutes or contract provisions that allow reimsursements and often these are matters of principle not money. ... Read More
