If been on work comp for 5 weeks now

Answered 8 years and 8 months ago by Mr. Christopher Edward Clark (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Workers Compensation
Dear Anonymous,   If you miss more than 21 days of work from a work-related injury, you are entitled to Temporary Total Disability benefits (TTD).  TTD is 2/3 of your "average weekly wage."  If your injury is permament, you are entitled to payment for any Permanent Partial Impairment, (PPI).  Your PPI rating will be determined by the company's workers compensation doctor.  However, if you disagree with the company doctor's PPI rating, you can seek out a rating from a doctor of your own choosing.  You will have to pay for this evaluation.  If you have additional questions, you should contact an experienced workers compensation attorney.   Best,   Chip Clark... How can I view my grandmothers will?

Answered 8 years and 8 months ago by Susan Kozlowski (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer
A will should be probated in Court.  Consult with an attorney, who will check to see if a probate estate has been opened already, or advise you on how to open one if one does not exist. There are time limits so call an attorney right away.   Good luck.

What's steps to take when dealing with custody of my son when we just recently moved back to my home state?

Answered 8 years and 8 months ago by Susan Kozlowski (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Child Custody
You say he wants sole custody -  did he actually file a petition in court or is he just talking?  If he filed something, then we have to deal with that.   If your court order is in Illinois, and now you live in Indiana you need to retain an attorney to transfer your case to Indiana.  The best time to do that is now, rather than waiting for some issue to blow up, and then you have a case pending in Illinois and you have to deal with the relocation along with everything else.    You need an attorney.  Good luck... Question related to domestic violence Act

Answered 8 years and 8 months ago by Susan Kozlowski (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Domestic Violence
Retain an attorney NOW.  This is serious business, and can result in the loss of your liberty, and you being Brady disqualified.   It is possible for a person to walk into the courthouse, fill out a form, tell a story to the judge without the other person being present, and get a temporary protective order.   Then there is typically a hearing for both sides to be present so that judge can hear both sides.  You do not want to go to that hearing without an attorney - you have too much at stake.       Good luck...
