You asked for a cheap job and you got a cheap terrible job. If you know the person you can sue him in Justice Court. It is probably not worth it but if you want to try to give him a lesson go ahead. You lost $250 plus what it costs to do the repairs to correct the shoddy work so sue him for that amount. It is not enough loss to consider hiring an attorney but you can sue by yourself.
