It is normal to have to pay the deductible. You can file a claim with the city. If they refuse to pay it, take them to small claims.

Personal injury.

Answered 9 years and 9 months ago by Charles James Brocato (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Personal Injury
This is a difficult question to answer without more information. If the owner of the property placed the gas can close to the fire or knew or should have known it was there, you might have a claim against the owner of the property. You also might have a claim against the person who placed the gas can near the fire. If you knew the gas can was there, it could also be argued that you assumed the risk or were contributorily negligent. There is also the quest or whether or not the owner of the property had insurance that would cover the situation.... Read More

Am I covered because of the company discount?

The discount likely only covered the cost of rental, not anything related to theft or an accident. Sorry, you are on the hook.

If assaulted at a house are the parents liable or their renters insurance liable?

Answered 9 years and 11 months ago by Charles James Brocato (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Personal Injury
More information is needed to properly answer this question.  For example, you mention parents. This implies the assault was committed by a child. Parents may or may not be responsible for a child's conduct. It depends on various factors such as the age of the child, what the parents knew about the particular situation, etc. Generally renter's insurance does not cover intentional acts so it is doubtfull there would be coverage.... What happens if i was injured in a car accident that wasnt my fault but im not insured?

Answered 10 years and 2 months ago by Charles James Brocato (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Personal Injury
I'm not sure what you mean by "the person who hit me was not covered by her insurance company". If she had insurance and she was at fault, her insurance should cover your damages. They will not, however, advance medical costs. They will only pay when you settle your claim. If they are denying your claim, you should contact an attorney to pursue the matter. In the meantime, you might ask your chiropractor if he/she will treat you now but wait until settlement for payment. You might also consider filing a Collision Claim for Damages. You can find out about that here:http://www.dol.wa.gov/driverslicense/collision.html I would highly recommend consulting with an attorney for more information.... Read More

Can I file a claim if injured while traveling through Houston International Airport

Answered 10 years and 3 months ago by Charles James Brocato (Unclaimed Profile)   |   1 Answer   |  Legal Topics: Personal Injury
Whether or not you have a claim would depend on whether or not the moving walkway was known to be unreasonably dangerous. Considering the amount of people who use it, that is unlikely. You might, however, consider contacting an attorney in the Houston area to see if there have been past claims for this problem.... Read More
