It the scooter is titled and registered in your name - you can hire a repo company to pick it up or just go get it. Law enforcement is not a relationship counselor nor dispute resolution program. Otherwise you will need to hire a lawyer to sue the ex for "replevin"

That is not true. A person can be arrested, although each county seems to have different methods for enforcing these subpoenas. The officer will usually either bring that person to court and order them to fill out the subpoena in court on penalty of contempt if they do not, or, as happened in one of my collection cases recently, they will order the person to fill it out in front of them in their own home or have them arrested if they do not.... So.......you get a title loan oout of desperation...likely because you have crap credit....and THEN don't make your payment on time....and YOU feel ripped off? First, if you are using a title loan company ....you are absolutely getting ripped off...BUT....thats because you are living beyond your means and borrowing money from a business that is one step short of Tony Soprano. Second, given the nature of thier business and the clientele, title loan companies are RUTHLESS. Assuming they abide by Fla. Stat 537, they can charge a hefty interest rate and BEFORE you take out the loan isthe time to dispute those amounts...not after you put out your financial fire with the money you borrowed. ... You will need to hire a lawyer to hunt down the judgments, ID the holders and try to contatc them. If they can't be ID'd there are some procedures to address this also that a lawyer can assist with.

Technically speaking, if a person is represented by an attorney, you are supposed to deal with the attorney. Of course, for an attorney not to do so would be a breach of conduct, but for a pro se party dealing with their own daughter, I don't think there is any legal prohibition. You can not make them come get the car or sue him. If he has major heart issues and can't handle the stress, maybe you can assist him by talking with loan company and you making payments on his behalf.
