You will need to retain a tax lawyer to address this issue. Problem is that it may cost you as much or more than the tax increase to fight over the increase itself but that is a finainical issue not a legal one.

Can I legally take my car.

Answered 3 years ago by attorney Mark Tischhauser, Esq.   |   1 Answer
No. You will need to get this resolved with the repair shop before they sell your car to pay for the repairs.  If there is a controversy you will need to retain a lawyer to address this ASAP.

Do I have a case?

Answered 3 years ago by attorney Mark Tischhauser, Esq.   |   1 Answer
The problem here is the 1.5  years that passed before you raised the issue. You will have to prove the damage occured prior to your purchase, that the dealer was aware of the damage and that it was substiantial enough to have disclosed. The dealer may easily defend this claiming that you damaged the frame over the past 2 years and its not thier responsibility. If this is controverted you will need to retain a lawyer to intervene. ... Read More

You will need to hire a real estate lawyer for this and may have to risk giving the son clear title to the property. How you protect your property interest is another issue all together.

No where is where "you go" to fix this. You will have to hire a real estate lawyer to sue and get a judge to declare the prior deed void. Unless you can get the other party to deed all the rights back to you voluntarily, which I will assume is NOT the case.

First, its time to start "adulting". If you are a grown adult and dealing with your parents and grand parents buying you are car, you are already in a bad position. That stated if there in an AND with them on the title, you "own" nothing and its plainly not YOURs ...its OURS. So the remedy is plain, you will need to spend your money to get it tagged and pay for the insurance at your expense. This sounds like this is the result of some dispute between you where they are leveraging the car for control. So, the remedy is simple. You paid nothing for the car, so get your things, move out, support yourself and find and pay for your own car. That eliminates any control issues and disputes. Otherwise, if you want the car, and rely on others to support you as an adult, you are stuck with the strings attached. ... Read More

The car is worth what you agree to pay for it. If you agree to pay more then thats a decision you make as a consumer. This sounds a lot more like you wwere enamoured with getting a particular car and overlooked the details and failed to exercise due diligence. If Carfax wasn't given to you and wanted one, you should have asked or purchased your own. If you claim you asked how much you were paying for the car, got no answer, and went ahead with the deal, again that is on you. You should have walked away and declined the purchase for that reason alone. There should be no confusion about what you were paying for the car, assuming they provided you the standard TILA breakdown in writing. At this point you will need to decide if its worth the expense to hire a lawyer to determine if there are any issues to address. ... Read More

Not unless you can show they knew of the roll back. Unless this was an expensive car is not likely worth the expense of fighting over it if the seller won't take it back.

Nothing - you can't return what you didn't take.
Nothing - you can't return what you didn't take.
Not a viable one. Thats what a deposit is for - and you don't get them back simply because you change your mind, as it would defeat the purpose. Equally for 1500.00 you will spend that much or more tryng to get the money back even if you were entitled to a refund.

You will likely need to retain a lawyer and address this with the dealer - typically for a refund. You can also report this to law enforcement to see if there is some criminal aspect to this.

No - there is no free lawyer and a lawsuit for every offense you suffer. You equally have no right to bring your scooter into the store. You can find someplace to lock it up or shop elsewhere where there is a bike rack.

What recourse do I have?

Answered 4 years and 10 months ago by attorney Mark Tischhauser, Esq.   |   1 Answer
No way to tell other than its virtually impossible that you would have a vehicle delivered to your home and cancel 2 days prior and (a) expect there to be no expenses charged and (b) that there was no document signed or endorsed that would obligate you in some way. That you would wire any money, let alone a large sum, under such circumstances is candily foolish. That said, unless or untiol there is an issue that develops there is no possible means to address all the scenarios... Read More

Unless you had a warranty - they are not required to pay for a thing - so you have some choices to make. You can pay for the repairs yourself and express your opinions as you choose or have them pay for part of it and make the deal the demand.

Hard to justify over a 900.00 item as you will spend more than that on legal fees. Especially if this is an internet item and worse a drop shipped foreign product. There is likely a process to go through where you will need to send the item back to the manufacturer, typically at your cost, for a warranty repair. ... Read More

How do i get started?

Answered 4 years and 11 months ago by attorney Mark Tischhauser, Esq.   |   1 Answer
This makes no sense. How do you go from buying a car to a refund issue without explanation. If you made a deposit to HOLD the vehicle while you sorted out your finances you may have a different issue than a down payment on a vehicle where you signed a purchase contract. Then you claim you sell something Carmax. This fact pattern makes no sense. ... Read More
